Kristen & Jake

December 7th 2024

Kristen and Jake’s wedding at Palms Pavilion in Tiona, NSW, was a breathtaking fusion of bold, moody colors and coastal elegance, creating an atmosphere that was both dramatic and effortlessly sophisticated. Deep, rich floral accents in shades of burgundy and red contrasted beautifully against the natural coastal backdrop, evoking a sense of romance and intrigue.

Tell us about your love story

We have been together for close to 10 years and were friends before that. We met in Bali, and from the moment we met, we were drawn to each other. A few years later, we decided to explore our special connection—and we never looked back.

We are, above all, best friends who love doing life together. We laugh, we banter, and we can’t imagine life without each other.

You chose the beautiful Green Cathedral, Tiona, for your ceremony and The Palms Pavilion for your reception. Why did you choose this venue, and what made it special to you?

We instantly fell in love with the Green Cathedral for its beautiful scenery and uniqueness, but what sold us was our reception venue—The Palms Pavilion in Tiona. It was the perfect wedding venue, featuring a breathtaking sunset over the lake and the most perfect blend of modern style with a hint of rustic charm.

From the moment we enquired, the service from the venue staff was exceptional. They were incredibly helpful, accommodating, and provided the best guidance and advice throughout the entire process.

What were the most important floral and styling elements in your wedding? Can you explain your vision and how Bloom Daddy helped bring it all to life?

The most important aspect of our florals and styling was having someone who could bring our vision to life. We wanted a design that was modern and classic, with a touch of romance—and Pete was absolutely incredible!

He brought so many ideas to the table, and we could truly feel how invested he was in our day—it was so refreshing.

What was it like working with Bloom Daddy during the planning process and on your wedding day?

Pete maintained great communication throughout the entire process and worked closely with us every step of the way. I honestly felt the love and care he has for his work, as well as his commitment to making our day the best it could be. I never had any doubt that he would deliver, and our designs and florals were immaculate and perfectly created. We didn’t have to worry about a thing; he was across every detail.

Looking back, what advice would you give to other couples about choosing their florist or stylist?

Choose someone you vibe with—someone who is just as excited about your wedding as you are. Don’t hold back on the florals or design elements; they are truly a vital part of your day and elevate the atmosphere and overall experience.

What moment during your wedding day stands out the most to you?

Two moments really stand out for us—the ceremony setup and overall ceremony experience, the moment we became a married couple! And the sunset photos—stepping away for a moment to capture them while looking back at our guests enjoying the day in our beautifully styled venue. It was a pinch-me moment for sure!

If you could describe your wedding in three words, what would they be?

Romantic. Breathtaking. Unforgettable.
